"the feeling when my alarm goes off during those days feels like physical pain that erodes my soul".
LOL, I know man, I know! Same for me. I hate that fucking alarm! But, once I'm up, I'm good. I set my phone/alarm on the dresser far enough away so I HAVE to get up to turn it off, so then I'm up walking and I just get going right then and there immediately. I do not lay back down.

3 hours last night. Wisdom tooth pain. 6 or 7 hours is sweet spot for me. I usually wake up in afternoon cos all jobs I've ever had were night shift so I keep nightshift schedule even when not working.

Hahaha yeah. If you lay back down you're in for trouble. The last time I did that, thinking "well my clothes are on and I don't have to leave for another 20 min, I'll just lay down for a bit". Then I wake up in a sudden terror because the sun is shining too bright to be on time still and now I'm very late for work and freaking out.

I sleep from noon til five pm daily. That’s it. 5 glorious hours. I often wake up naturally.
I’m sure I’ll pay for it with a shortened life expectancy it for now it works.
If it’s a super nice day or I have something enjoyable to do I just move my 5 hour time slot somewhere else.
Lately I’ve been experimenting with melatonin and valerian to enhance the quality of my sleep. I over did the valerian and had the trippiest most lucid dreams. I’ve also been abstaining from cannabis for a few months for the first time in a decade. That combo has set my mind on fire in the dream world.
Valerian dreams seem so real at high doses when I wake up I’m not sure if I was dreaming or remembering the previous day.
That doesn’t happen every time but it was a weird mind fuck the first time it happened. I sort of like it. I kinda didn’t.

Slept from 11 to 7
Feels good man, sleeping and dreaming all night long is like my natural home and waking up in the morning is like going outside the house into the natural world.

I have kids so no chance im sleeping past that anyway
