What's an available alternative?

Well I'm getting down to the bottom of my last box, boys.

What's a good alternative? Can i use fresh sink gloves and just keep them covered in 70 iso?

I'll wash them as long as possible before they end up breaking. Usually get a good 5 uses out of them.
The whole point is to stop skin cells and bacteria from dropping off my hands though right? So a fresh pair of dish/sink gloves should accomplish the same goal right? Won't be as dexterous, but at least will have something that works when these eventually run out.

Faht, do you always use gloves?
I've been kind of transitioning to not even using gloves, just making sure I have clean hands and good technique, and I haven't really noticed that much of a contam difference, but that's been a relatively new transition so I haven't come to any conclusions yet

Yeah.. only when doing sterile work and that’s mainly because my hands get really dried out from the iso. I especially use them when mixing subs though, but that’s a peace of mind thing... I’d be really pissed at myself if a tub went bad because I didn’t do a simple thing like put gloves on. Not that it would go bad from that, but putting gloves on takes like 2 seconds

Yeah I get that. The peace of mind might be worth it. I might do some side by side comparisons and see how much gloves actually affect contamination rate.

I've dabbled a bit with no gloves and don't mind the iso on my hands. But I did have a few jars that seemed to be contaminated with yeast, which i assume was due to my hand or wrist going over the jar during the transfer. gloves always on now until i get more skilled with the technique.

My agar transfers are often done without gloves and relatively sloppy with general hygiene. I get a contamed plate from time to time, but who cares.
I'm trying to do everything as cleanly as possible when inoculating tho.

I use kitchen gloves with a good finger fit and wipe with iso just like with med gloves, I like the arm coverage of kitchen gloves as well

I have a stash that should last me for some time, but I just don't feel like putting them on when I'm just doing some transfers. If it contaminates, I'll just throw it out.
