ID Request - Melbourne, eastern suburbs
    #26647183 - 05/03/20 11:31 PM (3 years, 8 months ago)

Scrounging around found two mushrooms that had the characteristics of subs, though unsure of them being different types or different mushrooms all together as I found both in leaf litter but in different locations.

Also have a spore print of a couple of mushrooms found at the same location wondering if they were subs as they bruised blueish over the course of the night after picking them.

Habitat:
Grown a park with leaf litter, under coverage.

Stem:
Solid medium stem, was initially white, but after picked had blackened substantially.

Cap:
10 cent piece the small brown one.  Little larger than a 10 cent piece for the greyish brown mushroom.

Spore print colour:
Spore print colour for most of them have shown dark brownish with a tiny hint of purple.

Bruising:
Picking them the previous day, the mushrooms stems have darkened blueish blackish colour.

Just inquiring to see the spore print of the ones on the paper can be identified, though I know it would be a slim chance without a full shot of the mushy. Where the ones of close ups both seemed to be similar to subs, but very different mushrooms comparatively.

Spore print above shot before moving them, I know there are broken caps so I won't be touching those just because the spore print didn't come through properly. First time picking with jittery hands ended in the fellas breaking.

You cannot ID a species just from spore prints alone.

Sorry I meant to say that the two mushrooms in the last four pictures were picked in different locations and just wanted to confirm if they were both subs.

By the ones that I did the spore prints of, I was just wondering if you could ID them with just the caps, stems and spore prints as shown in the first 3 pictures.

Cheers and thank you for such a quick reply!

These are Psilocybe subaeruginosa.

one of those prints is brown, but i am thinking its just goop from water logged caps.
