Has anyone had any experience with this shamanic snuff Rapé? It's a tobacco that is used to calm/center yourself for meditation or before an Ayahusca ritual.

I love rapé (also spelled hapé). I find it incredibly centering and grounding. I've used it quite a bit on psychedelics and just to center myself when sober and in need of that sort of shift. There are quite a few different types/blends that are made by different tribes and I like some more than others. I really like Yawanawa hapé.

afaik nicotine is a form of nootropic which is normally used in basically 100-1000x overdose or something like that or even if it is 10-100x that is a lotlot. but no this is not what the Marlboro man tells you.
whatever i say will fall on deaf ears for ppl who wish to follow tradional ritual anyway. but i would personally want to avoid messing with this both if you are a smoker or not, and also in the face of interactions.
just realize that while going the whole route traditionally and borrowing from wisdom from the Amazon i do not possess, you will want to think twice before using nicotine like this and using substances like these in concert.
Another reason is simply traditional use does not account for modern use, so be prepared for certain potential collisions from bringing into or taking out of traditional use, certain modern use and their interactions.
Guides may help you to avoid these problems, well good. Just saying, also think for yourselves and do something about it if your understanding is does not meet here. Maybe consider a nootropic (ok jk)
Also tho, this is not really botany but i guess a grey area - Nicotiana rustica would be another thing to look into then.

I know all about nicotina rustica. The MAOI effects, antidepressants effects, and in general how nicotinic receptors work.
Are you trying to say that the dose of snuffed tobacco is going to be well into overdose territory?

Just tried my Yawanawa, very interesting and grounding!
Can't wait to try it during my next mushroom session!

How often do you partake? I'm having trouble knowing when to blow it out. My eyes tear like none other, and then the nose starts weeping.
But damn does it clear out the sinuses and let you breathe!

I'll partake anywhere from every day to once every two weeks when I have it. Mostly just what feels right! It actually really helped me quit smoking, so when I was going through that transition I was doing it quite often. I found it really reduced my nicotine cravings for smoked tobacco. Which I guess makes sense, since it *is* tobacco!
For blowing out, I just wait until I feel ready. Usually after the burning and eye-watering has passed.

I just finished a can of Snus or 4..., which I hadn't had in 3 years. I'm hoping I can make a ritual out of this and not be so nicotine dependent.
I already feel the need to have 3-4 rituals a day, which according to most websites say 1 in morning and 1 at night. Hopefully it slows down when the novelty wears off.

I'd just say do it when you feel, but notice if you feel like it's too much. I found that my usage tapered off. I've definitely done it a lot more than x1 per day before, like 4-5x a day when at Burning Man, but in the day to day it tapered off until I really don't do it that much now. I will say it's a lot more self regulating than other tobacco. And if you pair it with a ritual, it has the capacity to bring you back into your body and make you notice when you actually want more vs your mind telling you to do more, if that makes sense.
When you do it just really notice the feeling and emotions that it brings up in your body (beyond the burning). I've found its really helpful to pair it with meditation.

I've only used it for meditation. Today my anxiety is through the roof, but I did just quit chewing tobacco, thanks to the snuff.
I really am tempted to go back for another session after my morning session to see where these anxiety truly comes from.
I've been setting an intention and holding it to my heart, then bringing it up to my third eye. I try and get into a stillness before insufflation.

Wow! This morning I almost purged from my session, went a little bigger then I had been going. After the heat/nausea passed I feel fucking amazing, ready to take on the day!
Was going to ask how to get it higher up cuz it tends to leak out, but I definitely got my dose in
