hows everyone, hope you east coast lovers are enjoying the season! Was wondering if some of you who found ovoids and are real pros at identifying areas could help me. Looking for the right habitat is key to finding mushrooms I know, so how do you guys think I did. Is this the right habitat!?! If not what more should I do / look for... thank you all in advance I appreciate all the feedback

Habitat looks good but not sure I see any box elders. You want a flood plain just like you have there but needs to be dominated by box elder maple. Otherwise look in mulch near water. Good luck.

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26520667 I wrote a guide for hunting in pa and the surrounding states. If you learn the plants you shouldn't have trouble finding some they are fruiting in insane numbers right now

I am in SEPA... and I read your guide but i dont think our season totally started yet. We had one day this week past 68 degrees and it was raining like a little bit every two days. We arent getting the same weather as western or central PA. Your guide totally rocks by the way man. In this floodplain there was alot of stinging nettle.

Mo better. Walk slow and look closely at all down wood and around the base of box elders I find the little depressions in the flood plains are the better spots good luck

Thanks brotha man! I cant believe after 4 hours searching yesterday not one mushroom. i really took my time walking and looking, staring at patches of land and woodchip debris for several minutes. Im convinced where im located in SEPA its just not time yet. too cold with to few rain.... SOON!
