I do mine in a wine glass. That way, you can swish the water around so all the spores get mixed in.

Assuming the sterility of a cormercially produced sporeprint, is there any reason why one shouldn't squirt a small amount of water onto the print, swoosh about a bit, and suck it back up again? Obviously you would have to use the whole print in one session (not necessarily one syring though), since the wet paper would probably cause any remaining spores to germinate. Any other disadvantages?

With the Wino Tek, there are always a few spores that get stuck on the glass but if you keep the water in motion, you will have very good success.
As for squirting the water directly on the spore print, that sounds kinda messy to me.

Well from one of the HUGE FUCKING angkor wat prints from Ralph the syringe was as dark as coffe. But no they aren't usualy that dark but they have noticeably more spores than spore supplier syringes.
