Giant Tree

Hey everyone, I had an experience on mushrooms and I wanted to ask if anyone had any information or a similar experience.
I took about 3.5 grams of mushrooms and I smoked a good amount of weed. A lot of things happened during the trip, but one that stood out to me is that I closed my eyes and I was standing on the limb of a giant tree with a figure who looked like a Hindu god. The tree had to have been miles tall and we were looking over the landscape.
What I'd like to know is has anyone had a similar experience with a great tree of this form or does anyone know of any spiritual doctrines who mention a tree like this? I tried looking around about this, but my Google searches are clogged with stuff that had nothing to do with what I was searching for.
I feel like this tree is of great importance for some reason, I dont know why.

Archetypal stuff. I had an encounter with a huge tree, with a lesser one on its side, which took up my entire ceiling a while back. It appeared as though I was peering into another dimension, like a veil had been folded back. This was, obviously, a subjective sense.
The branches of this tree, the wood was covered in eyes. It was really quite spectacular.
I have no idea what this was...a rendition of Yggdrasil? That’s my best guess.

Good shout, CountHTML, archetypes are often a main focus of mushroom trips. And they will be personally meaningful for you, OP. The problem is finding out what that meaning is. Integrate and see what comes along; realisations, sudden light bulb moment etc may happen. If not, take more mushrooms and study this some more.
You may want to read some Jung, he was big on archetypes.
Also consider sacred geometry, golden ratios, the tree of life; so much for you to get stuck into...
Good luck on your journey DJ Ed

This right here.
I've been meaning to start a thread on just such a topic, honestly.

Yeah. I’d like to draw a rendition of the world tree as seen in mystical traditions, but make the bark flesh like looking or something. It’s incredible what lurks in the unconscious mind and the storehouse consciousness in mankind. The imaginal realm is deep and mysterious. It seems to me it’s our sovereign right to know it, all mankind has access to it in the form of dreams and other altered states. A shared perennial theme runs through.
In the hallucinogenic state, I’ve had a sequence of events where my perspective shifts to my inner body where my spine is visualized with the two brain lobes as being the world tree and an apogee of reality - then it grows and becomes complex in geometric expression until everything seems laid bare. Was interesting. The axis mundi.
I’ve experienced and hallucinated it in a variety of ways, always sacred in quality. Same for dragons, OEV fractal geometric composed dragons that interact like a non corporeal energy entity. Surreal experience, interacting with pure mind hallucinogenic manifestations of oneself. Massive in appearance, like the size of a full grown elephant, as it blows fractal celestial looking primal energy looking illusions about its nostrils- all while curling itself around my body like the way a cat or snake curls up to rest. My shadow, ze pet dragon 🐉

The more I reflect on mushroom trips I’ve had, the more I realize that more often than not, the visions have profound significance beyond what I realized at the time. What I’m still trying to figure out is if the “guide” sensation is my higher mind, a complete figment of my imagination, or something like a collective intelligence. Seems the feeling of interacting with and being “shown” stuff by an “other” is fairly universal.
It does not seem a single hallucination is wasted, and the preponderance of “holy” images from various cultures shows just how deep these things run in the human mind. The word “shamanism” comes to garner healthy respect rather than naive and fluffy new age notions. Meaning, significance and symbol, all come crashing down on the user for hours. And a healthy dose of ancient Gods and artifacts.
I return once more to the first thought I had after getting into this stuff: WTF is going on with this? And that keeps me coming back and going back in there. Maybe I’m just hooked on the unexpected, or the idea of astonishment because every time I go too far I think, “ah, this place again, why do I keep coming back?”

Thanks for replying to my post everybody! I'm very new to psychedelics and you all are giving me a lot of interesting information I can look into. I'd never heard of archetypes before, thanks for telling me about all of this @the blind ass I've just been thinking that the guide sensation was a friend I made on the trip, it felt like I was communicating with a separate entity from myself, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
