Transport of small fruit: wild to home is it possible?
    #26645056 - 05/03/20 02:35 AM (4 years, 8 months ago)

Hi Guys,

I would appreciate some advise a transplant attempt I have done (sorry if this has been covered)

I carefully dug up some small Psilocybe subaeruginosa fruit bodies and psilocybin. I also made sure to keep the woodchips at their root base remained attached. I then transplanted the fruit bodies into this cup to keep on my balcony in the winter weather so I can spray it with water each day. I now understand I may need to cover it with a lid with holes?

So.. could what I have done possibly work and they will grow bigger, or ... will they all die and turn to mush? 😞

Awesome idea, want to see if they continue to grow
I can't see why it shouldn't work, atleast these fruits should mature hopefully but I've never seen this tried before :P

They'll probably stall out do to breaking up the mycelium network but they might still grow I'm not sure.

You should try cloning it or taking spore prints. While it might grow the myc network into your new substrate, I wouldn't really count on it happening.
