Better rule of thumb: If you can tell they are wearing makeup, tis to much.
Makup should be to bring out the beauty of the person without the makeup being the focal point.

As long as I can't see it, it's perfect!
The only thing that I like to notice is lipgloss, lipgloss can be very sex, depents on the girl(and it's very sticky while kisisng ).

Yeah... I'd have to agree with that. For some occasions, like if you're at a club and you see a girl at the club who is just radiating sex, then lip gloss is just that little extra touch... that can be very sexy.
But a girl who wears lip gloss to school every day... thats just a barbie doll in my opinion... she might aswell wear a glosssy plastic mask, lol!

Well, I meant as a general overall rule. Some makeup is meant to highlight and is not 'natural' looking so of course you can see it.

a bit of makeup is perfectly fine, especially when "dressing up" for a fancy dinner or something... but if a girl wears makeup all the time, or if she overdoes it, i think it's a definite turn-off...

I go with the general opinions here. Too much = narsty town.
As with everything, moderation is key.
The one thing i tend to notice (and really like) is when my gf puts on some mascara. It really brings out her eyes, and its sexy as hell. A bit of lip gloss doesnt hurt as well. Just dont apply it like you would jam to bread.

I tend to agree with most here- makeup should bring out the natural beauty in someone...a little goes a long way...if you don't need it, don't wear it! Nothing better to look at than a naturally beautiful person with no makeup on.

personally I don't really see anything wrong with makeup in small amounts (like using just a little bit to excentuate their features) but it starts looking ugly when they try that whole 'sex godess' look and paint themselves up like a two dollar hooker
natural look is k3y

Yeah, they really need to just touch up the areas that they want to accentuate and leave the rest with just enough of make up that you can't notice it, or no make up at all. Some girls try to accentuate all their features, and end up looking like a clown. Moderation is definitely key, and it's best to even go on the lesser side with make up
Though lip gloss is absolutely sexy on some girls.

This reply is to noone in particular:
I hate makeup. disgusting and pathetic. Just look at the markup on the stuff. Why do they charge so much for practically nothing? Oh, yeah, because women will pay whatever price is demanded for some form of self-confidence. Wearing makeup is the epitome of being a hypocrite. Why is it socially unacceptable for men to paint up like clowns? Lipstick is the most disgusting of all makeup. Kissing lipstick is like biting into a red, luscious wax apple.

I don't care about a little makeup...but overkill is just plain wrong.
And I do mean a "little"
