Lid fell onto colonizing substrate
    #26641749 - 05/01/20 05:00 PM (4 years, 8 months ago)

Hi guys. This is day 1 since spawn and the lid fell on coir substrate and gouged out some of the substrate in the corner. Will the increase my chances of contamination?

Yeah you'll be ok. I've done it, accidentally touched my substrate without washing my hands which I don't recommend. Not the end of the world. Mycelium is quite hardy when colonizing in bulk although contam is still possible.

Your substrate was spawned in open air and is fruiting in open air. It's already been exposed to all the contams in the world haha. Contamination comes most often from spawn
