Whats the probability of an outdoor UK grow?
    #26640612 - 05/01/20 06:47 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

For the last few weeks i have been mixing up a few spore prints for inoculation with grain. Every time i finish up i mix the rest in a bottle of warm water and take it out with me on dog walks. I have squirted it everywhere i go. Especially onto a massive pile of horse dung in a local horse field.

As it is just coming out of spring and we have a few months of heat and moisture coming. Whats the probability of me seeing fruits?

I'd say low, but not zero.

There's a pile I collect horse poo from in NW England. I've buried spent cakes there and now collect shrooms along with the poo, not many but they're a bonus. I believe they won't survive the winter though.

So it works then. How long did it take before you saw any fruit?

I am in the same neighbourhood also. If we get a a good warm summer i am optimistic. I have also put some in my garden and can see little mycelium fingers poking through the soil. You never know, i will report back if anything comes of it.
