how long can we spend every day, like sailors in an asian whorehouse? The inflation will be staggering...
Also, don't forget we will get a facist government.

Look around. We're in the opposite of an inflationary crash. We're looking at potential deflation.
Inflation makes rich people poor, and makes life easier for those in debt. Deflation makes rich people richer, and screws over everyone that owes money.

We're probably closer to a civil war than a reign of terror. There aren't any cult of personality based leaders on the left, at least not prominent ones.
We do, however, have gun nuts storming government buildings while armed.

That would be MIs open carry laws. One can walk armed (unconcealed with lawful intent). Minute you go into a car, thats considered concealed. This is some funny shit, unfortunately homeboy didn't get blown away.

Yeah, that "lawful intent" thing is ridiculous. Haven't looked into it, but does that override places that ban guns?
Pretty sure all government buildings ban guns except for LEO...

This morning I read the Maryland capital building was full of protesters with rifles and handguns, but they don't allow protest signs. All the amendments are equal, but some are more equal than others.

Starfire! Welcome back, man. I haven't seen you around in forever. Let's go ahead and reopen, fuck it.
I agree with the whole "this is unconstitutional and a threat to our freedom" argument. It's a good argument. I also think millions will die as a result of reopening (including many of our relatives), but people seem determined to have their freedom, and I'm not the kind of guy who says no to people asking for freedom. They have a point, their freedom is being infringed against, and it would be easy for many countries to use this to turn themselves into a police state with something like this.
I like the fact that even against a fucking pandemic americans would rather have freedom than live overall. Maybe that's as stupid as it sounds, but there's also something really beautiful and cool there too.

I'm all for letting people catch the virus if they like, but the main problem is that they'll then infect older, sicker people who are more likely to die from it.

I was wondering what line you'd take on this considering that putin is against reopening. Despite being a dictator, Putin is actually a really smart dude, he brought up Sparta and how the spartans used to kill the weak, and how that didn't help them survive in the long run, and that it was against the Russian character and ethos to not take care of the elderly etc. It was a good speech. Actually I was kinda surprised that he took the line of not reopening given how popular reopening has become with the right in america, who he generally supports, and given the cost to him and russia power wise and politically of staying closed.

I don't know why you think Putin generally supports the right in America.
But I did say this about him.
Unlike the US, he's looking out for his people more than he's looking out for his billionaires.

actually, the only thing is the state governeors to allow infected people into the old homes/nurse homes, etc.
In new Mexico, at the death are in if Ican remember--in the Life Care Center in Farmington New Mexico. That is the problem. I think Mr Ventilator did the same thing (Cuomo). He allowed infected people taken in old peoples homes/nursing homes.
And now Mr Ventilator is blaming nursing homes for not being careful.

Just in one group of protests in Kentucky of 100 people they saw a spike immediately in 270 something cases right after including 30 at nursing homes.

Edit: foot in mouth
Many people in nursing homes leave every day for dialysis, cancer treatments, and many other necessary treatments. Many also need direct hands-on care at all hours of the day/night, requiring many different staff members. There is no realistic way to protect nursing homes individually, without a huge increase in funding and testing, neither of which the current administration supports.
