Woodchip Mushroom ID Request - Possibly Agrocybe sp.

    * Habitat: Found growing in several different garden beds with woodchips, quite prolific
    * Location: Adelaide SA
    * Gills: Close to crowded. Light brown.
    * Cap is dull yellow, convex to plane, develops cracks. Thick with quite smooth texture.
    * Stem dull yellow, firm, slightly hollow (narrow hole)
    * Spore print color: Light brown-brown
    * Quite pungent,
    * No bruising

No i doubt it. Im thinking Agrocybe putaminum. Spores are rusty brown (orange/brown) for Cortinarius, this has light-dark brown spore print.

Agrocybe, not sure what the options are for annulus-free species in SA.  A. putaminum was described from Europe so it's possible, but more likely an African endemic.
