That looks suspicious af. Best case scenario, it's a particularly dense cluster of metabolites, but they're usually rusty brown in colour, not black like that. No idea what it is but it looks gross, sorry.

Wait until someone else weighs in before you do anything.

Well those fruit should be ok yeah you'd wanna remove them when it's
birthed. But I dunno if that jar will reach 100% let alone consolidate
completely. If it does you could try washing off, cutting off, that
scariness but I wouldn't reccomend opening or fruiting it around anything
else. If you could fruit outside in a bag or try burying it maybe.

Looks infected with something. Birth, cut off infected part and fruit in isolation would be my advice.
