ok im full of problems today, this actully happen to me a lil while ago and i just remembered. i had a few straw casings i let them colonize 100%, then i cased with moist verm and i put back in the incubator, and after a week it still didnt show no white ontop of the verm. it was about 1/2-3/4 in deep of moist verm do you think i was better off doing a lil scratching ontop of the straw befor i put the casing layer on?
well i mine as well tell u how this turned out i had like 2 smal patches of pins that came up and mutured but nothing like it supposed to be looked really pathitic

the shrooms came up while incubating?
scratching the surface will not help it will just have to recover from that.if the mycelium didn't come throu the verm i would have to say theres a comtamination in the verm.

ohh no im srry if u mis understood me im kinda sloppy in these posts. i got those 1 1/2 ft x 3 ft seedling trays to colonize all the way then i threw a casing layer on it incubated it for like a weeek and no white was showing thru so i birthed it but it was a very poor first and second flush 80% of the tray didnt pop anything out. it was almost like the colonized subtrate didnt want to explor the new moist verm all the pins started to come up under the casing layer. almost as if u started to pinb everything then when they just started to pin u thow a casing layer on it thats how it looked srry for the run on sentences

i'm thinking maybe it wasn't fully colinized inside.even if it wasn't fully colinized it still should have came throu the verm.i would have to say it was contaminated.even a contaminated casing can give off a flush and it is usualy a very shity one.it's happened to me and others i would guess.
