Just a2g’d one of my LPEU plates tonight as far as cubes go it’s quite a beautiful mushroom. First cube I’ve put to grain that I’m actually semi-excited about. I hope my tub looks half as good as eats

This is a post better suited for cultivation general discussion in either event
Yea, it's from a spore print labeled LPEU. Just posting up here cuz I'm unfamiliar with how these genetics look while developing on grain, not many pics of colonizing material. Guess I'll pop one of these in tupperware to try and get a fruit. Thanks!

Check some of my other pics, I get corn that looks great! I gotta move to rye though I think, looks like it colonizes easier from what I've seen.

Eats, curious on that tub design. Are you running only 1 hole on the sides and no tape or polyfill on the upper holes?

So some of these tubs are old prototypes before people were using holes in tubs. Pre 2000. I pulled them out of the attic. Ive got numerous configurations. Which one do you mean?
That one up there has top holes on the short sides. And 3 triangulated on each long side. So it has one in the middle up high and teo on the bottom down low.

1 brick coco fiber, 3 quarts verm, 4.5 quarts water. Top layer 1/2 inch if sub. Multispore from gill swab from the first flush i posted on the thread. Each of these tubs has 6 quarts spawn. I used 5 quarts on the previous 3 subs and got 6-6.5z dry per tub. I thickened top layer this run to test. 2nd flushes can be awesome but you have to pay attention to your watering and dont skip. I usually heavily douse the sub once a day for 3 days after a flush.
First tub was 7.75 oz dry. 2nd tub Will be more and these two should be close or more.

Tub 2 250 grams. 9 oz dry off 6quarts. Same bulk recipe as above. Tub 3 222 g 8oz dry. Tub 4 225g 8oz dry Measured the two tubs. Purple latch sterilites are 14x20 inches. Iris clear stack are 14x22 inches. But they look much larger by eye.

Totally
And for the other users they probably are curious about what dousing the sub means. They are probably thinking you dump a bit of water on the sub and let it absorb overnight. I am sure they would like some insight

I use a hand spray bottle and spray about 5-8 sprays post flush once daily. I dont spray directly on the sub. I spray above and let the water fall on the sub. I dont usually mist pre flush but usually 2-3 sprays if i do. I only douse the sub after a flush. I stop misting once pins set in.

Here is a mini that filled about 4 large racks on the dehydrator. I am kinda feeling like apeu likes deeper sub depth, thicker top layer to get larger fruit size.
