[PICS] White/Orangish Blobs & Grey Patches - Mutants? Contamination? Healthy?

Long time lurker, first time poster. Many thanks for all the knowledge I've received on this forum 🙏
These are Penis Envy, which I've read are prone to mutants, especially in the first flush, so I am hopeful that it is just that but it would be great to get another opinion. I've looked at hundreds of other people's pictures but haven't seen anything that really matches what I have going on.
MS syringe into rye grain jars. Coco choir & verm substrate. The tubs have been fully colonized for about 4 days. What should my next steps be?
Thanks in advance for any assistance

pe blobs. search for that, you'll find tons of threads on blobs and how people have tried to stop them from occurring.

Damn there’s been a lot of these the last couple days.
That’s what happens most of the time if you don’t case PE. They’re still pretty strong though.

Good call, I see a lot more info searching for "pe blobs", thanks! Kinda detracts from the whole "cube is a cube" saying... Maybe that expression is meant for the experience.

I added a small casing layer just under 1/2" when I mixed my substrate. In other threads people mention adding the casing layer after full colonization so maybe that was my problem.
My plan going forward is (suggestions welcome): - Keep fruiting until any non-mutant fruits mature - Harvest (mutants & non-mutants) - Dunk substrate and 🤞 for a mutant-free 2nd flush
