Hi there,
First time posting. Feeling nervous but think I may have found something that is worth your valuable time to ID. I found these in Wellington New Zealand at an altitude of about 400metres. They were on a mountain covered in thick native bush but also some patches of pine trees. I had been looking around the pine trees because I heard that was a good habitat, but had no luck after an hour of searching. Then I came to a grassy clearing and there they were.
Habitat: Grassy clearing on a wellington New Zealand mountain covered in thick native bush and also pine trees. 400 m elevation.
Gills. Seem to be a cream colour.
Stem: Length about 4cm diameter about 3mm color: browny, creamy, whitish. Looked possibly a bit hollow.
Cap: around 4cm. A bit conical.
Spore print color: Sorry, I didn’t have time to do this after my walk.
Bruising: See photos, it appears to bruise blue black.
I have my own ideas on what it is. What do you think?

Thanks Ooisi. I am using an iPhone at the moment so I might have to wait till I get to my laptop to post pics. Thanks for the ID. I was hoping it was Psilocybe subaeruginosa. It did appear to be bruising blue black. Shows you what I know. I will keep hunting, and will post the photos for others to see when I get to a computer

Hygrocybe species not psychoactive if that's what you want to know. Not all bluing mushrooms are "Magic".
