Is this gong to be a problem?

So recently I tried putting some cakes into my old monotub because I couldn't find the right tools to build a SGFC and I was just curious if it'd work. Maybe a week later after not seeing any pins, I decided it'd be best if I just didn't stray from the tried methods and bought what I needed to make a SGFC and I transferred them over. Everything built exactly as instructed. But the cakes seemed dry, I figured it's because cakes don't create the same environment as a bulk sub does, and because I also had my fan on during the nights they were in the tub. Anyway, I misted them plenty, but they seemed to dry out quicker than I'd expect, I thought maybe the inside was still too dry and it was just sucking up whatever extra moisture it was given instead of evaporating from the surface so I dunked a second time last night and put them back today.
I find out just few hours ago, there were two open containers of damp rid within 3 feet of the chamber, under my TV stand. I don't even remember how long ago I put them there, but one was full of water and the other was starting to cake up pretty good with moisture. The room I have them in is fairly small, and I only keep the door open a few inches so the cat can't get in.
I threw out the damprid, but I can't really tell if the dryness was caused by me using the monotub or from the damprid, since it's pretty old. With it gone now, should I be in the clear? The pins that atually did start forming before the second dunk were short and fat and are growing very slowly, with the few that have matured actually starting to open up at less than half an inch, minus the one in the pic below, but aside from first using a tub and having the damprid there at first, I've been misting and fanning about every 4 hours and giving as much indirect sunlight as I can, it's a foot or so from the window. That's definitely a moisture issue right? Nothing smells off, and as far as I can see, nothing on the cakes look off either. I am starting to see more knots after the second dunk, but I don't know if that was just a time issue and I would've seen them anyway if I didn't redunk.

Just wait and see
Mist as needed, but not too much.

I've actually been avoiding misting and I've been fanning more often after that second dunk. The cakes felt cold earlier and the mycelium's pretty matted down so I'm thinking there's more water in there than needed, but it doesn't feel soggy or squishy but it's drying up a bit more thankfully.
