They're blobs (mutated mushrooms) very common when growing penis envy.
common for the first flush to have a good amount of them.
They are still worth drying out as they are still fruits

That myc does look weird.
But yeah blobs. That’s why PE needs a 5050 casing.
This bottom one is the worst blobbing I ever had, even with a casing. So small I couldn’t even really pick them off. It was more of an exoskeleton for the surface.

If it didn't have all those metabolites everywhere I'd say PE blobs. But I'm thinking bacteria still.

Metabolites dont always mean contamination. They are produced for multiple reasons.

I wouldn't eat those blobs. No the tub isn't done it could still give you some fruits. Just gotta watch and wait.

Hey rumfor69,
You replied to my post from 6 days ago about my PE monotub surface conditions. I saw this thread and figured I'd post an update here since MycSilo and I have similar topics.
Today will be day 11 of "fruiting conditions". I'm seeing tiny blobs, knots, and possibly the start of primordia. But yesterday I noticed a thicker mat layer forming than I've seen thus far, with a yellow tinge towards the center of the substrate. Metabolite globes are present on the surface, but dont appear to be multiplying. There are also 4 areas adjacent to the FAE holes with a much sparser surface than the surrounding mat. Seems like she's fighting contams?
I hope I'm overreacting and I'm about to see a pin set soon. But I'm also super paranoid that the whole surface is covered in Trich. The thick layer seemed to grow very fast, and I see no green sporulation...yet

I moved the tub to my super cold basement for now in hopes of stalling potential contam growth. The resolution of those pics sucks when expanded and zoomed, but the mat later I'm talking about looks chalky and dry. I can try to get better pics if necessary for ID. Still a fair amount of water droplets in the center.
Any thoughts on how to proceed?

That’s normal it’s just blobbing over.
It’ll look like this bottom tub soon.

If you’re lucky it’ll make big blobs and pins, the one in the picture was horrible it was all tiny unharvestable blobs and a couple mushrooms.
Casing normally stops it. After the first flush the blobs stop.

A.k.a...MADE MY DAY!!
This is my first grow, so I'm gunna be happy with pretty much anything I can harvest from it. I read a bit about casing PE last night. Seems like it's the right way to go. Would you recommend a casing layer this late though? I spawned to coir/verm on 4/8, increased FAE and light at 100% colonization on 4/17, so tomorrow will be 3 weeks in the tub. I'm planning on turkey hunting quite a bit for the next 2 weeks, so if something like a 50/50+ casing this late would need a babysitter, I might just say bring on the blobs.

It’s too late now just let it ride and see what happens.
Blobs are pretty good too, I dont mind them unless they’re super tiny.
They got soft and pop off pretty clean when they’re ready.

I agree with a.k.a. yours look like the blobs and normal. The small amount of metabolites in there is fairly normal. The cold basement isn't necessary it will just make everything go slower. Room temp around 70°F is good.

Awesome. Tub #1 exits the basement. I lightly disturbed a couple patches of myc out of curiosity and it bruised perfectly blue. My new favorite color
