Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?)
Residential backyard, frequently pooped in by dogs, in the shade cast by a fence a few days after heavy rain. North Georgia, foothills of Appalachian Mountains.
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Dark brown/black gills
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Thin, long compared to cap
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
See pictures
Spore print color: TBD will update
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
None discernible
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Looks like some panaeolus foenisecii to me. Spore print will probably be a deepish brown color.

it's to early to find Psilocybe Atlantis, they will have a purple spore print and noticeable bluish bruising where handled or injured but it can take up to 30min to see it.
edit: End of May through about early July when it starts roasting outside you can find them. I suggest that you look at the habitat picture of previous finds to get an idea of where to look.

The gills are very dark. The stem is more red and more twisted than the average foe. It's probably a foe, but take a spore print.

Looks black to me, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's black. Leave it for a few more hours to get a nice, fat print 😀

I don't think the original pictures did justice to how small these are. I went back outside to take habitat photos of the ones I didn't pick earlier. The spot was out of the shade of the fence and in direct sunlight by this point, and the remaining mushrooms had dried further. I picked most of the remaining ones to take a picture in my hand for size reference. Even in the close up habitat picture I'm afraid they're tough to make out. They are about the size of a blade of grass.

They aren't foes, they're something else. Probably weakly active. A microscope is probably needed to determine the exact species, however

Thanks! How do you distinguish Panaeolus acuminatus from panaeolus olivaceus?

They look nothing a like to me besides having black spores, but the size color and shape of the cap, color, size and texture of the stem. It's easier to confuse Panaeolus foenescii and Panaeolus olivaceous than Pan. olivaceous and pan. acuminatus.
