My San Pedro is in bad condition. What should I do?

I will shamefully post some photos of my San Pedro. I love this cactus but haven't done a great job caring for it. It has been sun burnt and yellowed and broken. I really want to encourage thriving full growth but I am not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. Please don't judge me too harshly

Slowly acclimate it back to sunlight outside. Gradually increase the water. Cacti are hardy π΅ππ΅

When you take it out keep it in shade for 1-2 weeks before putting in sun. And he is thirsty as fuck! Would maybe all so cut in 3 pieces.

I second cutting it into three pieces. Root the pup, cut the middle chunk off and root it on it, the stump should produce better growth when it pups again.

I was definitely considering this. How can I encourage a healthier(thicker) growth.

More light will encourage thicker growth. It needs light from the sun.
Acclimatise it in dappled light for a week or two and gradually introduce it to full sun. 6+ hours of full sunlight will thicken the growth.
