MUSTARD ON MY BISCUITS... in all actuality, I rarely use tools, I twist and pull, and clean the butt of each fruit individually... I spend a LOT of time harvesting, some single tubs taking nearly 2hrs... when they pile up heavy, I use a pair of sharp sewing scissors...

I often wonder if PE is a result of a viral pathogen passed genetically

I've been playing with it for MONTHS... I had no idea others had it... I think the variety itself is regressing to albinism, as I've now see 3 different lineages result albino from F2 and F3 MS cultures... inter eeewww sting ti say the least, and one of the reasons I returned: word if others lineages caught my attention lol... I actually have APEU from 2 separate sources, both filial results of dark spore producing LPEU... Lefty sent me an F2 print that has only ever produced APEU, and I've recently confirmed that the F3 MS culture I believed to have been sporeless all this time, is un fact also albino

That’s awesome man. Eats got some theories about varieties degrading/regressing that came up when I was asking about why shrooms don’t look the same and seem to be way smaller than in older grows i see.
The apeu came up recently cuz like you said, somebody had a PEu grow that popped some white fruits.

Super sweeeeet! Faht fruits indeed!
Do you usually wait for the caps to break and mature fully before harvesting? will they shed spores that way?
I'm contemplating when is a good time to harvest the PE's
4 days since first pin.

Looking forward to a wonderful trip eating them soon..my dehydrator is waiting, and so am I..

Those have a ways to go still. No spores with PE so don’t worry about that.
Usually they get soft and bumpy when they’re about done, and the caps get lighter and sometimes open up some, especially on the edges.
PE is so nice to harvest too they mostly pop right off clean and the sub looks brand new.

They don’t drop spores even when they open up like that (at least I always miss the window when they might drop a few. Harvest when they get soft.. the pic was taken right before they were harvested. You can really let PE go more so than other varieties because there isn’t a sporesplosion

Do you not cut them at the base with a bread knife/serrated knife?
I read on Bod's writeup that keeping the butt ends intact through cutting helps keep a good micro climate for 2nd flush, and hopefully 3rd?
Living and learning each moment..maybe i'll try one method with on tub, and another with the other.

ecuador...this was spawned on april 9th and harvested really late on the 25th, not bad, yield is nothing special but they are pretty

this was labelled the same but after one of these shoeboxes started blobbing I cased everything labeled ecuador..I think the label fuck up happened way back during my agar transfers . Anyways, I ended up with a couple shoeboxes that blobbed a lot but here is one I cased in time, definitely PE fruits (I must have labeled some PE mycelium as ecuador)

And been busy getting tubs together, lots of RW clone but also a couple TOC ms cause I had extra spawn. I have shoeboxes of TOC going as well...need to find some clone candidates of the TOC

I am trying to be prepared but if the fungi gnats hit me again in the next month I'll probably take a vacation until October
They are fuckin ruthless

That’s how everything should be done to find what you like most. The longer you wait with PE, the easier they come off the sub

He and I have been discussing it for a few weeks lol... and like I said, it's been around likely 3-4 months... its not just lpeu though: albinism used to be a rarity and now it seems all the widely cultivated varieties have an albino or luecistic sub-variant... I'm not online, but I'm on the line lol
