Calling in a noise complaint to the PD....

Some people that live on the block behind my house have a sound system in their backyard, and from Friday morning until sometime around 3am they play music loudly, then the same thing on Saturday from basically the crack of dawn until late late at night, and then again on Sunday....
...every fucking weekend these people play music loudly, every day of every weekend for the past 3+ years I wake up to thumping bass/beats (I wear ear plugs at night and I still hear it when I wake up in the morning). And to make it even more aggravating, they play the same songs every fucking weekend. These people have a play list of like maybe only 24 to 30 songs at the most, that is all they listen to, the same songs over and over again, they haven't changed the playlist in years, same songs every weekend....They play it loudly every weekend, the same fucking 24 songs over and over and over and over again all weekend ever fucking weekend for years now. And to make it even worse the genre/type of music they play are two genres that I absolutely despise, two genres that are like nails on a chalkboard to me, cringey cheesy mainstream country music from the mid to late 90s, and a bunch of latin/mariachi music that has that constant thumping bass line with an accordion and people basically just yelling as singing....
...waking up to and hearing that shit every weekend for years now, hearing the same 24 country/latin/mariachi songs play over and over and over again every weekend is starting to drive me nuts, like I genuinely want to lodge a bullet in my brain...It started to a long time ago actually, I've just dealt with it....but now that spring & summer time is in the air they're playing their music even louder and I can not deal with that noise any longer.
If it continues on this afternoon I will for sure be calling the police department and reporting the noise complaint, if not this weekend then next weekend, it's going to happen sometime soon. From here on out, every weekend that they play their shitty music loudly I'll be calling the police department. I've never called in a complaint for anything before, I'm like one of the most chill and passive/easy going dudes ever, it takes a lot for me to get so annoyed that I'll call the cops (never done it before actually). But hearing neighbors basically broadcast their terrible shitty music to the entire neighborhood is driving me fucking nuts.
I don't even understand that mentality, or how one can be so careless and/or oblivious...I'm one that's very mindful of the noise I make, I just can't wrap my mind around how people that live in a neighborhood & have neighbors can just blast music all day/all night long and never think that maybe the other people that live next door and in the neighborhood don't want to hear that terrible music. People are fucking mindless, I can not wait to move somewhere that I don't have any neighbors anywhere for miles. Living in a town/having neighbors is one of the most annoying things for me, so many humans are noisy as fuck and totally oblivious.
I'm mostly just venting here, I don't really have anyone to talk to or vent to what's on my mind so just kinda puking it all up on here....Do any of ya'll have any stories about noisy neighbors or calling in a noise complaint?
Does anyone know if it is possible to remain anonymous when calling in a noise complaint?

Have you tried talking to them?

This has worked very well IME! Sometimes people dont realize how loud they are. Dont be a narc and go talk to your neighbour.

The only problem with talking to them (which I endorse) is that if they aren't receptive and the police come because of a noise complaint at any time in the future (even if it's not OP), they will think OP did it.

I've considered it...I usually do not like to get cops involved with anything unless necessary.
But I don't know how much english they speak and my spanish isn't the best.
They don't even live on my block they live somewhere behind my house on different block, I don't know them at all and don't even know what specific house/address it is (but I have an idea of what house it is).
Most people get an attitude and defensive when someone knocks on their door and asks them if they can turn the music down. IME through life, people are far more likely to become defensive and cop and attitude in those situations .
Considering this neighborhood (the ghetto/hood), I'd much rather remain anonymous and not show my face to these people in case the people want to retaliate in some way, against me or our house or our vehicles. I don't want to go and try to be all polite and ask them to turn their music down, just for them not to, then at that point I'll call the cops anyways and now they know who it was that called the noise complaint and what I look like and the direction I live.
Not being a narc...If these people didn't have a sound system in their backyard and didn't blast their music all weekend every weekend with out any consideration for the people that live around them then this would not be an issue. If they are so oblivious that they don't realize how loud their music is, or if they just don't care, that's 100% their fault. Cops will just tell them to turn the music down, I doubt they'll get a fine. But if they continue to blast music loudly every weekend after that then yea I'm sure they'll get written up with a fine/ticket, fuck em' . I really don't care.

That's EXACTLY one of the reasons I don't want to do that. I mentioned that in my previous post even before seeing you mention it. And I don't want any retaliation coming from this.
And considering how rowdy most people are in this ghetto/trashy neighborhood, I doubt they'll be agreeable and turn their music down just because someone asked them to . They'll probably turn it up louder.

If you're going to call (and I believe it is 100% appropriate to do in your situation) I would wait until it's after 10PM or so-- most all cities have noise ordinances that don't kick in until night-time. The cops aren't going to take it very seriously in the day like they would when they know people are trying to sleep.

I would have given you one warning before shooting you a very angry glance.
I feel for you OP there is little that pisses me off more than ignorant cunts that own "sound systems" or, dogs that wont...shutthefuckup. Really the pc police took down the "shutthefuckup" graem. FMOB.
After having the door slammed in my face by one such dog owning dipshit of a cunt, I phoned the council, who thankfully take such matters seriously enough to send out noise abatement notices against such ignorant shitheads.
Funny how the retards that recently moved in along the road not only play the same music day after day, Bob Marleys 'Legend' LP, they also own a dog that seems to like nothing more than to bark at the fucking breeze all day.

Car alarms, upwards of 6 times a day, from the same family, literally makes me want to burn their house down. Honking to pick someone up happens nonstop on my block too, and often times they honk a dozen times because the person isn't coming out.
Used to be hella rowdy in my early twenties, and my homie would blast music all night long(3-5am on weekends) with his windows open, we had the old mayor living on our block, along with families who had young kids...And somehow after years, we never had the police show up. I could hear the music from the corner when I would walk home. If you knocked on the door, I would've tried fighting you. Looking back I feel bad, and live a totally different lifestyle so I don't really care, but am super considerate now.
I don't fuck with the cops. I'd prob go face to face, most people are pussies but living in the hood sometimes brings out different breeds.

In my opinion, I think you should somehow anonymously inform them that their music bothers you, and warn them that you will call the police of it doesnt stop. I would think a letter should suffice. That way, youre giving them a chance to avoid police, and if they dont change, theyll be expecting police. It would really suck if you called for just a noise complaint and they happened to be smoking weed (if youre in a non-legal state) or doing something more illegal yet harmless, thus causing them to get in trouble for whatever else. I know id feel horrible if i caused that. Anywho, that just ...

After letting it go on so long, you've set the precedent that you don't care.
Go talk to them if it bothers you.
Be honest about how it effects you but don't exaggerate.
The average bear is at least somewhat reasonable.
Being who I am, if they didn't comply after a single request, I'd probably rig up a 12v alarm siren to a car battery and leave it outside to ruin their tunes all day. They'd get the idea pretty quick.
Good luck, OP.

They take your name but they don't give it to the people you called on. I called on my neighbors after a few weeks of screaming matches. The guy was taken away in cuffs, but it kept happening so I slipped notes under the other neighbors on the floor saying I'm contacting management are you with me?, and we got them evicted. They moved out in like 20 minutes with a suitcase and some lawn chairs, who lives like that?

Calling the cops is not much different than going over there yourself, but it keeps you from putting yourself in what will probably be a shitty situation and then having to always worry about retaliation if you do ever need to call. They'll just knock and tell the people to turn it off. If it becomes a repeat thing then they'll probably fine them.
It's literally the cops' jobs. If they smell weed or something and actually cared, the amount of effort it'd take them to do something about it would probably deter them, and at the least would give the people in the house time to get rid of it. Again though it'd probably just be a warning.

I’ve tried talking to people. Never works. I don’t like calling the cops either because I don’t want to talk to the cops because they often have a way of blaming both parties. I swear to God, I don’t know wtf you can do these days. People are assholes. That includes the neighbors the cops and probably the person who’s being annoyed as well. It’s no wonder shit like this often ends in violence.

For real man... 3+ years? I'll bet you could write a best selling novel based on the violet fantasies you've had about these people. Normally I'd recommend a polite knock on the door, but I personally couldn't knock on that door with anything less than a baseball bat or a battering ram, so calling the police is probably a more civil option than a heart to heart talk (again, because there is no polite way to shove ear plugs down somebody's throat). I'm pretty sure they'll have no grounds to bitch if they get a noise complaint after 3+ years of their neighbors being extremely tolerant. You can't be the only one who's pissed. I'm honestly surprised the neighborhood watch hasn't stolen their sound system.
