I sent the punch-maker an email and he quickly responded. By the way, the punch is 9/32" in diameter.
Not surprisingly, he can't make enough punches to fill all the orders coming in. He said that he should have another batch ready next week.
I told him that I'm definitely buying one.
Thanks for the referral D3monic!

Are your stipes splitting on the RW? Are you using tyvek over your holes?

They aren't split just have some stripes. Is that relative to FAE or a sign of bacterial?

Thanks for this write-up D3. I've officially moved on from DFA now, and only for aesthetic reasons . I was wondering what you thought about a tool like yours but with a 90 degree angle towards the end, like this...
That way I wouldn't have to have my hand right above the plate. If your guy could even make something like that.

I don't have a hole punch, but I've still been wondering about this. How do you do it? Take the lid off and put it somewhere else? Or is your sterile tek dexterity so good that you can manage to tilt the plate, hold the lid open and also support the plate being cut/hole punched with one hand?

If in a SAB should be able to pick up the plate, then let bottom half lower to an angle. Would have to close to Rotate to next spot. One of a many reason I built the flowhood. Much more freedom of movement

Nice, I'll have to practice that move. FH is not happening until I move to a house in a couple of years.
