two types of mycellium? * 1
    #26626567 - 04/25/20 08:29 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

I'm noticing two types of mycellium in one of my tubs. The first type which has grown all over the tub is this light root-like mycelium. The other type, which is coming in now, is bright white patches like what I have in another tub. Is this just due to different genetics from the MS syringe?

That’s waaaaaay too dry.

It’s washed out from the light but it looks like that might be some knots popping through.

I just added the coir layer on top to days ago and it was at FC then but I'll go ahead and mist it tonight.

i have been speculating its GE / FAE conditions but is only an uneducated observation. i had jars here of the same MS and some of them grew all wispy and some of them were chunky solid looking and they both came out of the same tube.

I am starting to wonder if the lighter growth is cobweb mold. I'll take a look at it again when I get home and try to get a better picture.

Then again, maybe I'm just seeing the difference between the rhizomorphic growth and the more cottony mycelium. I suppose we'll find out. This is only my second set of tubs.
