Im new to this so i don't know how to make a proper post yet so im sorry if this is a mess.

Basically im from Sri lanka and i found these mushrooms growing in my garden and they reminded me of some magic mushroomsall I'd seen online. So i need someone to identify them before i do anything stupid with them.

They are definitely nothing magic, sorry. Maybe a Mycena species, but to be sure we'll need a picture of the gills as well.

I don't have much data on species occurring in Sri Lanka, but there was a find of Psilocybe cubensis a few years back, as
reported in this thread: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24042434

You should be looking in herbivore dung (cow, buffalo, elephant etc.) after rains.

Please take good pictures of all your finds and post them here for identification.

Welcome to the Shroomery. :toast:

Looks a marasmius to me, like m.siccus. Hard to tell from one photo. Not even sure if that species grows in Sri Lanka. But for sure nothing magic.
