very tiny brains * 1
    #26625017 - 04/24/20 03:19 PM (3 years, 9 months ago)

We have been involved in several threads dealing with Animal consciousness and awareness relative to human consciousness and awareness.

I just read something quite interesting on pocket
https://getpocket.com/explore/item/how-does-a-caterpillar-turn-into-a-butterfly?utm_source=pocket-newtab
about how a butterfly develops out of a caterpillar

Aside from introducing the term "imaginal discs" which are present in the larvae for adult parts like wings and legs and eyes - which seems miraculous (as the caterpillar could conceivable feel it's baby wings inside and may even yearn to fly - who knows if they can yearn)- well they can remember experiences from larval and pupal experience when they are adult - as proven by this experiment

https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0001736

I find it wonderfully alien and amazing,

Slime mold really pushes the question of what intelligence is - how does this organism communicate and how does it perceive? It seems like a very primitive neural network but made of individual cells that are their own entity.

i wonder if human could be larvae, containing within our brains a tiny brain,

that is the thought-controller of our future end-metamorphosis state.

The so-called cellular slime mold, a unicellular organism that may transition into a multicellular organism under stress, has been found to have a tissue structure that was previously thought to exist only in more sophisticated animals.

it is normally just a mass of protoplasm with many nuclei.

Humans think butterflies would make horrible humans.

Butterflies cannot imagine the uselessness if not growing wings or flying.

So if the metamorphosis process was in human terms what would that look like.  Dissolving everything from the chest down aside from the nervous system while simultaneously growing new appendages wings etc.?  That would be the trippiest shit ever.  I have to think there is an identity crisis of epic scale or maybe not.

I think it's a dawning of something like dreaming up another world with a strange dark inner geometry, and slowly getting bored and extremely good at eating everything you can find in this world.
Eventually you can think of nothing else but that other geometry which can be felt inside at all times, so you make a good sleeping bag out of your skin and dream yourself out of that old skin, eventually to flutter away in the new geometry.

That’s more eloquent.  No reason to panic.

The genetic skills combined with the mental state that dreams the dream so to speak.  Suited towards each other.  Not sure anything parallels that or even comes close in the human realm.  Sure we grow teeth when young but c’mon.  Maybe the death process?

I tend to think there may be iq extra terrestrial species out there with similar metamorphosis deals.

Everything changes if you think there is a difference.

We live on a planet eating itself.
Enlarged cicular contraction.
All death supporting life.
A positvely human subtraction.

Detritus betrayed by growth.
No difference in state.
We walk upon the fallen.
Neither here nor there our fate.

A kingdom runs short of substrate.
When the host dies.
Awareness and the colours it creates.
Difference no longer ties.

All is well.
All never was.
All brilliance tells.
All was just because.

*************************

Like ants on a tree unable to see that we are running out of space.
Forever a new limb the wasteful we cling with a starving a loss of face.
The tree though, does it know, that its metamorphosis is underway.
Would it be fair to suggest, it doesn't care lest, it breaks the rules of play.
The indifference intrinsic with failing linguistics both the tree and ants alike.
Caring or not the sun will have forgot about our nominal worries of psych.
Its not to late and its never too early the problems simply arise from thinking.
The boats not a boat, look again, its just wood momentarily not sinking.

They are quite intelligent, and scary.  I found one in NC along the lines of a year ago and no one would believe me because I didn’t capture it.
Eusocial bushido warriors with no master but their own queens from the land of demons/ them insectoids are.  :penisisevil:
