Heavily contaminated syringe, any way to clean this up?

This is a plate from a spore syringe I got recently. It's APE, from the only seller I could find inside Europe. Alas, it is heavily contaminated, as you can see. I have five more like this, only this one shows some fuzzy white filaments growing from the clump of spores in the center, which might be mycelium. A trasfer, unless I could somehow scrape off the white filaments, is not really feasible. I've read somewhere of sandwiching agar by pouring some fresh agar on top of the contaminants. Could that work? I don't have gentamicin, chloramphenicol or any antibiotic on hand, and for the cost of getting them I'd rather order some new spores from an american vendor, where they're not so hard to come by.

Ive done one experiment with Lysol spray that seem promising. Basically all u do is eject your spore syringe into a glass jar in your SAB, add a short/quick spray of Lysol, then re-up the spore water. It should help out but it is an experimental technique.

They don't sell Lysol in Europe, at least not where I'm from. What kind of disinfectant is it? Chlorine based, peroxide, or alcohol? I have all three available

Oof. I'll tell ya what helps immensely when going from syring to agar in reference to myc being able to get a foothold: using just a tiny, tiny drop in two or three places. I mean tiny. The more solution that is introduced to the plate, the better chance nasties (bacteria especially) have of taking hold, disallowing mycelial growth. Just get a drop hanging onto the tip of the needle by surface tension and touch the agar with it. All you need. It makes an enormous difference. You an also noc up a few brf jars with it and grab a piece of growth off it and clean it up on agar (once you get growth (someone just mentioned this same thing in POTD I believe!). Works great on tammed syringes and is easy/quick.

I squirted some in an empty Petri and used an inoculation loop, so there was already very little solution. I don't have BRF on hand but I do have some WBS, I could try inoculating that and see if any myc pops up

APE is known to be dirty. Reason being is that it doesn't drop spores. So to collect spores, you have to swab the gills or squirt a bunch of solution on them then centrifuge the solution to attempt to clean it up.
The trick folks used to do a few years ago was to knock up BRF cakes with your APE syringe to start it out. Once you have something on the brf cake, you can transfer it to agar.
