Has anyone seen or used this type of media extraction device? Looks great for filling LC syringes.

I just watched a youtube video of a guy from colorado who apparently made this media extraction device to replace the lid of a normal media bottle. Its basically a normal media bottle lid with 2 holes drilled in it. One of the holes is fit with luer fittings and has a micron filter attached to it. The other hole has a rubber (plastic bendy?) tube that runs down to the bottom of the bottle and also out the top of the bottle and has a luer locking mechanism on the end of the tubing side outside the bottle.
So you attach the syringe to the luer fitting on the outside of the rubber tubing and suck up as much LC or MS solution you want. They guy in the video is using 2liter media bottles so you could easily fill 200 syringes in little time. The micron filter is there to equalize pressure when you draw from the syringe and and not let contams in the jar. Just thought it was pretty creative.
Not sure if I can link youtube videos but it would probably be easier to just watch what I am trying to explain. It is very simple and looks like a great idea so you dont have to be tilting lc jars or anything. Just wondering if this is something people use as this is the first I have heard of/seen it.
Ill try and link the vid in the next post. If I cant, look up "Inoculating with liquid cultures and utilizing media extraction techniques for mycology" on youtube.

Sometimes I don't use my still air box and just use the oven opened partially and the fan on (I don't really do that preheating though). Its ight though cause spore to agar is just a toughy.

Looks pretty cool. It seems as though you might need to use all the LC in one go though, how would you keep the lure lock end sterile? He leaves his under the hood the whole time, but seems like it might be risky to use it over multiple sessions.
But very cool if you are doing that that much work with LC.

With a luer fitting. The same kind that goes on the end of a spore syringe.

It's probably better to just do it in open air in that case. Or do it next to a bunsen burner.
