Mushbags/mycobags inoculation, procedure

Hi all, After looking around on the forum, I wanted to make this post for further clarification. I'm thinking of trying out mushbags. Here's a picture of the ones I have found for very cheap on eBay:
They are supposed to be autoclavable and good for grain spawn. I've always used jars, my understanding this far is that the function is the same and only the scale is different. It's my understanding that they need to be folded over the filter patch before PCing and do not need to be sealed until after inoculation if using colonized grains. Since I would be using LC, would it then be a good idea to heat seal them before sterilization then just inject the LC through the plastic after unfolding inside of my SAB? Since I'm working inside of a SAB I don't really have the room to open them, and if that's required to prevent contamination I'll have to stick to jars.

Those bags seem ok. They from china? I've gotten my last two sets from ebay. Both from china. They work well enough. I like mine. I g2g in the flow. But using a sab you would be good using LC or LI. Maybe put a gob of silicone on the bag to use to inject through unless you get the bags with the injection port

Yes, they are from China, I'm glad to hear someone else is using them successfully. I'll definitely try to modify them with a SHIP, that sounds like an awesome idea, hadn't thought of that.

Yeah. I read that just put a dime sized or whatever size glob of rtv silicone or any 100% silicone on the bag and let it dry. Then u can use that to inject and it is selfsealing. Yeah I got long skinny bags last time and I'm not a fan because it's hard to mix the spawn when its shaking time. Big wide bags are super easy to mix tho.
Ppl say unicorn bags are the best and most reliable. The Chinese ones work tho. Might be thinner plastic. IDK. I love using bags now. Once I learn how to not pop them during PC. My last run I didn't burst any.

Is that something that happens often? Is it from depressurizing the PC instead of letting it come down gradually?

Yeah pretty much. I tried 3x and popped bags. This last time no pop bags. Just have to have the PC full. That way they have no room to expand. I stuffed my open gaps with wet towels and put 5lb weight on top the trivet on top. I use trivet on bottom and top.

I see! I don't really have another trivet, I guess I'll use a heavy plate or something of that sort when I get around to it. Thanks for the tips!
