Finally got around to building my new smaller flow hood * 1
    #26620990 - 04/22/20 08:29 PM (3 years, 9 months ago)

So a year or so ago I had bought a new 12 x 24" mini pleat HEPA and 7 ply 3/4" Birch to build this but life happened and I slacked.

I had an 18 x 24" before but since I moved out of the house I shared with my ex and don't have the same kind of space I decided to scale down and go with 12 x 24" since I can manage the same work in front of it and move this one around easier.
This blower is a much better fit for this size filter anyways.

I'm not a carpenter so it's not perfect or anything but it's coming out quite decent I think!
I just need to do some sanding + touch up, sink a few screws some more, add handles and wire it up!

Nice job it looks great! It reminds me of my series one flowhood.
I like that I can easily move it around and put it away.

Thanks man! It's pretty much the Series 1, at least the same blower + filter combo.
How deep is the housing on that one anyways? I think I made this 12" deep

Hey thank you so much for the photos! I have only ever seen that hood from the front.

If you have a chance could you do a huge favor for me and snap a photo of where they wired the power cord to the blower?

Wiring the blower is easy but on my last hood I had a blower housing so I just used electrical tape and caps , and left the wiring exposed. I'm wondering if Fungi Perfecti found a better way

Hell yeah that absolutely helps!!

When the blower came, I actually had to unscrew that little electrical box to get the two power wires out.

It actually has a metal plate over the hole I imagine you must have to punch out or drill ? I never noticed that before so I just wired it up on the outside on my last hood because there was a housing around the blower (Like on the Series 2 ).

That is really nice, I just need to find a grommet and I'll be able to hide the wiring in the box.

Thanks! I appreciate your photos man, I didn't realize I could punch that circle out

This is my last hood I built, it has a blower housing so I just wired that one on the outside
