Looks close to colonized to me. Myc on coir doesn't appear as thick when it's colonizing as it does on grain.

What's with the "varying depth of top layer"?

Just curious.

Well it sounds like youre thinking about things and that's good. Optimal to apply that beforehand but i have a feeling with time and experience youll learn fast.

Opening it up won’t hurt it, a picture of the whole surface would help.

It is weird the sides look totally done but the surface hardly at all. Could be the top layer though.

Yeah those pop up in the coir now and then, I thought it was the wbs at first.

The myc looks good but the coir is on the dry side.

Yeah, yout top layer probably won't colonize 100%, which is completely fine.

Looks good to me, I think what a.k.a. was seeing was just the light. What are you using for fae and humidity? I had a shoebox like this recently, used bod's plastic bag tek and it worked like a charm.

Feels good doesn't it man.

I hope your experience gave you something that will enhance the next attempt. That's the beauty of these things. You learn so much about yourself. All the way from just being spores up until the very end.

That first grow is special. The first time I ever tripped was from my own grow. My first dose was way too high but man it was amazing. I've havnt been the same person since. Absolutely altered the course of my life for the better.

Anyways, congrats on your first grow. I don't know if you've ever tripped but be careful with those fresh grown ones if you've never have.
