Subaeruginosas or possibly Cyanescens? Taranaki New Zealand.

Just curious as to whether these could possibly be Psilocybe cyanescens as opposed to the more common Subaeruginosas? I only find them in one spot which is amongst lupins near the coast of New Plymouth. I've found enough subs, these just have me curios, they're some of the more stunning ones I've found. Happy either way

Doesn't Look Like Psilocybe Cyanescens Can Be Found Growing Wildy In Your Area.
New Zealand Gymnopilus sp. Panaeolus cinctulus Psilocybe alutacea Psilocybe aucklandii Psilocybe makarorae Psilocybe semilanceata Psilocybe subaeruginosa Psilocybe tasmaniana (link) Psilocybe weraroa Pluteus velutinornatus
I'd Say They Are Psilocybe Subaeruginosa, & Some Very Nice Specimens At That. The 3rd Picture Looks To Show A Sub Patch With Very Light Colored Gills. I Wouldn't Say "Sterile Subs" Because I Can See Spore Deposits But Nonetheless Very Nice Finds

Yeah I've had a good start to the season on subs (pics below), just this spot they always look that little different, they only grow around one, you couldn't even call it a log, it's more a branch.

Cheers. Yeah they definitely blue and fairly rapidly, this is the second year since I found the spot and it's been really good to me. Was a total fluke to find it, but a welcome one.

Thanks for the comments. How do you tell one from the other? I was just looking on wikipedia and I can't see what would differentiate them from subs on the surface. The pics on here look just like the ones in my pics. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psilocybe_cyanescens Just wondering how you all can tell. Like I said, I'm happy either way, just like to learn. Cheers.

This Is How. You First Look At Where In The World The Mushrooms Were Found, Then Go From There.

Location, Habitat and time of year are just a few things you have to consider when Identifying mushrooms, familiarizing yourself with the different macro characteristics is another one. The best way is to get out and actually hold them in your hands, experience is the greatest teacher in my opinion, the more you do something the better you get.
