Best experiences of your life
    #25993548 - 05/15/19 12:14 AM (4 years, 10 months ago)

I've had some great experiences in my life. I've traveled the lower 48 and done some camping and skydiving. What experiences in your life have been the most valuable and msmorable?

Lapping the globe and visiting every continent but the poles.

--------------------
Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

that's quite the accomplishment. Was there one particular area that you liked the best?

No, no single 'best' as all places are wonderful in their own way.

There's only one place I want to live though and that is in Australia. It's my spiritual home.

Visiting the most culturally different places from the one I was born into have been the most valuable experiences.

Travelling to the National Parks and National Forests, hiking and camping in Hawaii backcountry, seeing Yucatán Mexico, skiing on a snowy mountain on a nice day, skimboarding at the beach.

Yikes. Skydiving would trip me out.

I've been around the world and country a bit, buy my best times were toiling in the field with my father. Picking berries with my mother when I was a child. The woods.

My favourite experience I've ever had was when I experienced Ultimate Reality on mushrooms. This happened 11 years ago.

Two years ago tripping on L in Flagler CO listening to the coyotes sing lullabies and laugh all night long while staring up into the vast bright starry sky

Or the mountains in WV/MD green ridge Forrest area, hiking my dogs there every day when I owned my house in Maryland

Or Christmas in July in Boone NC. got to see them make moonshine and maple syrup on my grandmothers families mountain farms.

Catching muskies in canada. Or backpacking in the rocky mountains. Also hunting elk is a spiritual experience

I rented a lodge for my wife and I in may down in the Appalachians that had a swimming pool with a projector built in. A hot tub out back, and a beautiful view over the mountains.

One night, my wife and I dropped 400ug each of blotter that we had gotten from a friend before we left.

Have you ever tripped out in a swimming pool with a giant movie screen playing compilations of trippy visuals, and beautiful ambient sounds? We found each other in ways that you couldn't imagine. We became one, and found our place in the world that night.

Nothing can compare to the pure bliss that, that was for me.

Visiting Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto in Japan remain the best 2 weeks of my life.  Visiting ancient temples and shrines, mount Fuji, drinking my first alcoholic beverage, clubbing, karaoke... It was time of my life :smile:

You will have absolutely no regrets.  One of my best friends who I went on that trip with a few years back has been living there for 6 years now and still has no plans to return to America haha.  How soon are you planning to visit and what cities do you want to see?

Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

My dad took us camping frequently when my sister's and I were younger.

I remember camping in the middle of winter in high elevations during a storm.
I woke up to open my tent and saw a wall of snow, as I pushed out (really had to pee), insane that everything was covered with snow.

Still in my memories and I will probably never forget that moment.
