This boy popped during colonization, 8 days in fruiting. Everything else is days behind.

I haven't gotten into cloning, agar or anything, currently drying it and def saving it for cloning(I believe you can still clone dried, correct?). Figured just separating it in a ziploc and marking it should be fine until I get to start messing with agar, which will be soon. I plan on taking prints off a nice one or couple of this tub's 2nd/3rd flush, in order to keep this variety around. They're just so fat and stubby its hilarious.

I really love this technique, makes it soooo much faster to get clean, well organized growth. Or isolates if that's what you're after. The later zones have far fewer strains per colony, and less likely to have contams. Also gives you a lot to choose from
Streak plates (serial dilution streaks, like my sig and agar guide):

Weird pale last flush fruits. Are these PE in my Texas/PE6 soup or just mutants?

Those are some fat pins. Look a lot like my “melmak” grows.
The mature ones look kinda toc but short and fat. You might’ve got some mixing going on, I only mixed spawn once but definitely got some crosses that showed up so it’s probably pretty likely.
In the first pic the one in the back against the tub looks super PE, especially the cap curl but it also looks waterlogged so that could be affecting it.

It all came from the same syringe. Just been cloned and printed a few times over the years lol I dunno I'm about done with this variety. About to mix up my first AA+ tubs tomorrow, I'm excited.

Speaking of aa+, just loaded up my second qp bag out of the dehydrator.
The yield on these guys is nuts. I’m over 11oz off 5qts of spawn, at least two of which were bacterial.
Also really excited with how this is going so far

Yuh I peeped bod's loop, I already have an xacto and a million blades and sure I can find some wire around the house, so I'll wing it with that for now.

First jars ever done with agar instead of MS. A tub I spawned half a quart of WBS to 1 quart of Horse poo. Doing great. The jars are for a big mono.
