Adding "raw" vermiculite to pasteurized coir
    #26617059 - 04/21/20 08:16 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

I was mixing up some pasteurized coir when I realized it was way too wet. I'm trying to keep it under field capacity for the guide I'm following. Without even thinking I added, straight from the bag, a couple of handfuls of vermiculite to suck up some moisture. It definitely worked but it's just now dawning on me that I did absolutely nothing to the verm in terms of pressure cooking or whatever needs to be done.
Anyways the spawn and dirty coir/verm are all mixed up and I figured I'd ask now instead of waiting to see the results.
Thanks

I just would have thought that it needed some kind of pressure cooking or boiling water poured on it.
Regardless, thanks for the input dudes
