Let's talk work logging and organization * 1

How do you all keep logs of your grows and how do you plan your work? Are you using a paper notebook, shroomery journals, any apps, excel and how do you use it.

I ain't doing shit besides labelling my dishes/jars currently, but I'd like to get my shit logged better and possibly analyse the performance of various cultures and media over the long time.

You need randalf for this one. He had spreadsheets with pictures and notebooks all kinds of detailed shit.

I label my jars with mp tape with type and inoculation date, date I shook it, and then when I spawn a jar I add that date and move the tape to the tub.

That’s about the extent of my record keeping.

Plates are just variety transfer number and date.

Actually my pictures on my phone and on here are sort of a record as well.

I am interested in this as well. I started journals but I feel like I need to better my organization game too.

I type most of my things in my Shroomery Journal. Seems to work pretty well and is easy to find

I use mini post it notes behind packaging tape for labels, a notebook and a calender .

Just to keep track of timelines mostly.

Im terrible at keeping track of stuff and especially at doing grow logs. Usually I stop updating grow logs half way through, never to finish it lol.

I used to keep track of all my agar and culture work in a notebook with all the details and work notes and shit, and used a lettering/numbering system to keep track of culture generations and shit, but I stopped that too.

I tried to do a journal this time but oh well. Life gets in the way.

My new method, sharpie on the jar. Sharpie on the tub. Fruit-dry-bag. And alcohol to remove sharpie notes.
