Looking to graduate from BRF tek, I'd like to use my Instant Pot. Any suggestions?

I have a DUO and a NOVA. I've looked around and there aren't any Instant Pot guides or suggested methods that only work with the Instant Pot's PSI.

You should get a presto pressure cooker. It'll save you time and effort.

I have an instant pot I used until just recently, but it only has preset buttons so I had to read the manual to find out which ones went to 15 psi.
It only fit one quart at a time, I used wbs and always ran it for 2 hours.
If you’re planning on growing more than just once in a while it’s worth it to get a pc. Lots of people have found them on Craigslist or thrift stores.
It’s just so nice to run 10 jars instead of 1, really opens up possibilities and it’s not quite as devastating if a jar goes bad lol.
But anyway wbs to coir shoebox is what I started with and still do mostly. Super easy. If you can run brf cakes you’ll have no problems, I found cakes way more difficult to learn.

Interesting. Cakes are more complicated than grains for you? Really? Surprising.

I still.
Still confused on the difficultly. Perhaps cause people just skip over PF tek and go straight to grain/bulk?

For fruiting yeah. When I first started and had no idea what I was doing my shoeboxes went much better than my cakes.
I have extremely low rh though which wasn’t helping. I recently had a few days of rain and the humidity stayed in the 70s instead of around 15 and it made a huuuge difference in the amount of air my tubs could handle.
I knew it would be different but I underestimated just how much.

I see. Yeah, low rH is a huge problem. I onced lived in a house with a HVAC system that ran way too often (I couldn't turn it down). It dried my room and the house out so bad, I would boil water just to add some humidity. It sucked.
It was terrible with my SGFC. Dried out waaaaaay too fast. Learned that lesson real fast.

I’ve been using my instant pot successfully for a few runs now. I just run it on high for 2 hours. Can’t fit as much inside as you would with the PCs mentioned above, but it works. I haven’t been able to find anything under $90 atm (pc) and with this lockdown stuff going on I can’t afford to spend that much. Given you already have the instant pot, there’s no need to feel compelled to spend more than necessary while everyone’s income is tight. I’ve had 0 contams and some exceptional results thus far. Eventually I’ll get a PC to save time on multiple sterilizations and bigger batches all at once, but for now might as well use what ya got if you know it works. And it does.

Here is the detail, money is tight atm so I'd like to pull off a better tek with what I have. I'll set aside money to get a good pressure cooker in the future. @jakelarrison, what tek are you using and can you get away with using half-pint jars?

Any size will work. Smaller might actually be better cuz it’ll sterilize faster.
You could even make brf cakes like normal and break them up into coir, but grain is better.
