A liar is someone who by reasonable measure is defined by their lying.
Its more like being a racist than like being a rapist.
With a racist there should be a pattern or a blatant act, while for a rapist just once will do.

What if it was a white lie such as Santa's going to bring children a shit load of toys on the 25th of December? Are there any black lies? #blackliesmatter. What about lies?
To me there seems like there's so many opportunities to lie under so many different circumstances. Under these circumstances you are someone that told a lie.
To be called a liar on the other hand is a whole different ballpark That's an abrasive allegation. Where is the tripping point? Lets face it, we all lie to some to some degree, so when does a person stop 'lying to some degree' and become a liar?
Think the question is "when do I start losing trust in this person's word and how much lost trust do I associate with the word liar"?

Everyone's a liar always, ever since their first lie. That designation will stick with them forever. It's better to ask whether someone is trustworthy or not than if they are a liar.

So when you say you need to take a shower, but you really just want to rub one out...?
And so on and so forth.
Are you 100% honest with law enforcement?
See see now.

A liar is not someone who lies all the time. They are someone who has lied.
Same with thieves, murderers and rapists. But unlike scoundrels, ruffians and delinquents who may change with time.

I think calling someone a liar generally means they're lying right now about a specific thing. Like if someone says something and later you're like "that guy's a liar" you probably mean about that particular thing. Like if you say that you don't enjoy the anus of trent and someone replies with "that guy's a fucking liar" they're referring specifically to your enjoyment of trent anus.
But then again some people lie all the time about everything, and then you might call that person a liar and mean it more broadly. Like if you're constantly claiming that you hate trent anus but you regularly enjoy the anus of trent then trent calling you a liar might be accurate in a broader sense.

Has there ever been a human being in history that had a full life and made it through the entire thing without telling a single lie? Even a white lie?

I’d say a liar is someone engaging in constant verbal or text-based dishonesty.

So before Jesus and Mary Magdalene would go out on the town, and Mary would turn to Jesus and ask him before they left Jesus' condo, "do I look fat in this?", you don't think even Jesus would tell a little white lie if he had to?

Jesus told a bunch of his best buds that he wasn't going to a Jewish party, and then he snuck in when nobody was looking.
(John 7:8) -"Go up to the feast yourselves; I do not go up to this feast because My time has not yet fully come." (John 7:10) - "But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as it were, in secret."
