The body is a pump.
Your breath and bowels pump air and foods, your heart pumps blood, your muscles pump in your locomotion, contracting, expanding, your senses pump sensory input into neuronal output that the neurons pump between them, and back out again in words and actions.
the body is a pump.

I really learned about sphincters. I mean, I had heard it referenced - don't push to hard you will blow your sphincter. Well, I think I am talking correctly, but you may need to wikipedia. Anyway, it came up because a friend of mine pees herself a bit when laughing really hard. I guess you can wear out your sphincters.
So, interesting thought about the pump. What can we do to increase the output!

Your lungs are the only pump in your body that has a fully automatic mode as well as a manual override switch where you can control your own rate and depth of pumping.

I had this insight last night when my health felt very bleh, circulatory disturbance.
My Spirit Guide advised me, after so much lockdown inactivity, to hop on my bicycle and cycle a a good bit fast to give me some cardio. "Let your heart pump the blood and your muscles pump your lymphatic fluids, the body is a system of interconnected pumps you see? You need to let the main pump, locomotion, pump so that the other minor pumps can start up again. It doesn't really matter how far you go as you do it fast, its to give your pumps momentum, your body is grinding to a halt."
I did so, pondering that, and lo! behold! it worked wonders.

Your Spirit Guide gives good info! Stay in motion! I workout daily at 6:00 AM. That sets the tone for my day. Good blood and chemicals PUMPING through my blood, brain, and body. I notice synchronicity picks up when I'm in motion like that. All is One on the highest levels; stay in tune and pump your body!

He has knowledge of future events.
At least, my subconscious mind.
I'm fine with "imaginary friend".
ZJEF VANUYTSEL - MY SECOND ME (translated lyrics)
I remember well as a child I was afraid of the dark afraid of strangers of lightning and of thunder but above all of everyone who wanted to waste my soul so I made a second me deep in my mind
from that day on that moment no one could touch me anymore and was there villain or gallows-bait who wanted to crack my soul then I found salvation and relief as you can expect safe with my second me deep in my mind
my second me took me with him to distant foreign countries above the clouds over the sea along wide white beaches I traveled all over the world many days many nights only with my second me deep in my mind
my other me, my shelter my loyal friend my best friend what would i do without you "I actually feel it required to here ... .. to sing your praise
so everyone of us has found his second me he fills the silence in our head heals many wounds you can always go to it to ease the pain a miracle is the other me deep in our thoughts
"I sometimes wonder who is that voice or are they multiple votes of which you probably won't ever know the sound or color is it a ghost, a chimera as you would expect or maybe it is then God Himself deep in our thoughts
is it a ghost a chimera like you actually would expect or maybe it is then God Himself deep in my mind

the body is a pump.
Gross generalization. Neurons aren’t pumps, senses aren’t pumps, it seems like you don’t know what a pump is.
Also you still believe in spirit guides?

Asante, you and your spirit guide are just his mental projection...I find it odd that he feels the need to correct himself based on something he himself has imagined to be so. Quite the character is this powerful all-reality emanating Thanatos.
And why am I, another projection of his, having to reassure another mental projection ! Stop making me do this shit man!
You and me when he forgets to continually mentally project us into existence>>> <<< him
Just playin...

They aren’t “documented” it’s just a story they believe in but that doesn’t make them real. Like the Greek, Egyptian, Chinese, etc gods.

Without the mysterious still inner voice within ... I fear one would be lost and amiss in life.
I know it, and depending on how you perceive it, it’s can be quite surreal. Do I think we need a brain to act as a medium of sorts, yep. Is it interdependent with us, likely.
We’re talking about something very subtle and nuanced and mysterious and antecedent to our conscious thoughts while we experience our lives, so what we call or name it is really just a reference people use to point to the same thing in most or many other peoples mind and lives.
Daemon or spirit is fitting when you consider its quality as absent - yet perceptible or apparent. Its a private phenomena for the most part ... but things can and do happen...

Don't get me wrong, I'm athiest too, but I think it's important to leave people to their faith.

Or maybe you’re prone to the same kind of magical thinking humans tend to be. I mean I only believed in god because I was raised on it, then I came to my senses. I mean I even tested it by asking Satan for help and nothing happened.
It was only ever in your head and people tend to count the hits and ignore misses. Alas there is no reasoning with such folks as they place too much value in experience
Don't get me wrong, I'm athiest too, but I think it's important to leave people to their faith.
A Christian would say: "So you asked Satan to help you, and now you are online fucking with people's beliefs, and you think that's proof that he doesn't exist?"
Not really.

Your breath and bowels pump air and foods, your heart pumps blood, your muscles pump in your locomotion, contracting, expanding, your senses pump sensory input into neuronal output that the neurons pump between them, and back out again in words and actions.
the body is a pump.
Applying the principles of the body being a system of mutually interacting pumps where one gets the other going, I managed to lose 7.5 liter = 2 gallons of excess fluids I was retaining as edema in a week, despite it being a hotter week than the ones that gave me the edema.
Through the right actions at the right times i managed to increase my processing capacity of the excess fluids, gaining on the backlog and therewith, draining 16.5lbs of excess water from my system within a week.
Every time you pee'd, drink a somewhat smaller amount of water. This will give the body the signal that even though the blood volume just was reduced, the blood volume is being replenished with low-electrolyte fluid, which will relay to the kidneys that it is OK too keep the plasma dump going and fill another bladder, as hypovolemia will not be an issue.
When eating for pee, eat a bit proteinaceous (yielding urea, the natural diuretic) fatty and starchy rather than sugary, with low added salt and high added potassium veggies if having retained too mucvh salt is part of it.
To pump the lymphatic fluid, blood, oxygen, stool and as a consequence keep the kidney juices flowing, move your body around in minor feats of excercise spread across the day. Amount of excercise is far less important than that you kept the number of instances of motion up, again with keeping the pumps pumping in mind.
I'm starting to become more acutely aware of how one action begets the other in the closed system of our bodies, and how you can get BIG results by doing a few very discreet and reasonable actions in sequence than synergize to make your body to its desired epic feat, clear 2 gallons of edema in 1 week without you having forced your body.
Intrigueing.

Silly to you, but applying the principles of the thread I lost 16,5lbs of excess fluids in a week without much effort in any particular direction.
Thats a load off my chest, my heart, as Morrowasted can attest. 2 gallons is a LOT of edema.

Let me tell you something about alcohol
For your body to process alcohol, it attracts water, thus, makes you extra thirsty.
We know thois goes for gin, but alas beer too.
2%
If you drink alcohol your body will try to dilute it down to 2% in the process of eliminating it.
If you drink it, michelin man of edema. If you don't drink, you get more sick.
Given that American beer is usually 4% ABV every beer should be compensated with an equal size glass of water.
"But you can't get pissed properly off 2% ABV"
No, but you CAN piss properly that way.
You heard how I got rid of 2 gallons in a week a few posts up, you can use that to your advantage if you drank yourself bloated again.

Funny I stay the same weight regardless of what I eat or drink.
Also I think the definition of pump as it is used here is too liberal and I would require a medical professional to confirm any of this.

I agree with the whole body pump perspective.
It was in reference to some of the responses here but not how you've managed to manipulate the system into getting rid of that fluid. You probably saved your own life, especially if you have CHF.

You pump air, you pump shit, you pump pee, you pump blood, you pump lympathic fluid and other extracellulat fluids. The cells suck what they need, in, and blow their excesses, out. A neuron gets an input on one end and responds to that with an output on the other end.
All this could be seen as pumping actions.
Its a simplification but it is a valid one.
A tree is a big pump too. The leaves evaporate plant juice off their surfaces resulting in the roots sucking up more ground water. Sure there are electrolytes and metabolism involved but, its pumping. Transporting a fluid or gas from A to B through itself.
It omits the details of the process but still does it justice.
Our tissues transport stuff all the time and if you move something from A to B, you create a suction in A and overpressure in B keeping the pumps before and after it going.
Its useful to play with these concepts, I lost 16.5 lbs of excess fluids in a week, extreme results without taking any extreme actions, by tinkering with the principle.

I like salt too much to eat a low salt diet, even with days I dont eat at all I still take in ~3000mg sodium and potassium
my favourite healthy snack is salted cucumber, its high in potassium and water naturally and you can add the salt, probably better then gatorade

Still a gross generalization because those aren't "pumps" in the strictest sense of the word. Neurons aren't pumps either since the signals travel along them but they aren't forced along in the manner of a pump. Cells don't "suck in" either, that's not how they eat.
It's not movement through a suction either, calling muscles pumps is just flat out incorrect. As for the rest, again I would like to see a medical expert on that matter.
I also HIGHLY doubt the claim about fluid loss also.

Not just do you draw into question the theory part of it all, you cast doubt on the reporting of the outcomes of the measurements.
You disbelieve me.

I had a interesting thought about electrolytes, I drink 2000mg sodium in 1 litre of water, I sip it slowly on the day, I wonder how much fresh water you would have to add to sea water to bring it down to like 500mg/litre, thats probably as drinkable as fresh water, has better electrolyte count then gaterade, but not as good as pedialyte and we would be increasing the volume of drinkable water by at least some amount

The body is a pump, yes. So if cyborg technology ever comes into vogue to replace our parts, let's hope that they're not made by Ford!
