Brown/Greyish Color inside stems after using Dehydrator? * 1
    #26612584 - 04/19/20 09:57 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Hey guys, just got a cheapo Presto 06300 Dehydrator.

Before using the Presto I had dried about 10 g's of my first harvest under a fan- with the caps removed and stems cut into 1/3's length wise on a raised paper towel in a tupperware with the fan blowing down on them. Were dry in about 24 hours and looked pretty good and snapped broken. Here's what the inside of the fan dried looked like. (Overall white, besides for blueish bruising).

Just tried my first dry with the Presto Dehydrator. Put a few medium small size uncut, very healthy looking shrooms in and let it go over night for about 10 hours. They were bone dry, making a little dust when they crack. Looked great on the outside, the caps look like they dried perfectly.. but the inside of the stems is a brown/greyish color. (You can see in the pic below on the part showing the inside of that stem to the left)

Never saw any brown/grey color like that inside the stems of the cut up, fan dried previous ones. Here's a side by side of the inside of a fan dried (left) to the inside of a dehydratored (right).

Is this normal or because of the Dehydrator being too hot? Or because those shrooms were fucked before they went in the dehydrator?

Any input much appreciated, thanks!

thats cuz 1 is dried correctly and actually dry while the other that wasnt properly dried in a dehydrator was only as dry as the environment that it was in.

my god you fucking newbs can b a bunch of thin skinned pussies. nobody was trying to hurt your feelings there powder puff. i was not being snarky i was simply stating one was properly dried while the other was not. dont get mad when someone is trying to answer your question. if you already know what you want to hear ask it to yourself.  were not here to hold your hand and bake you cookies n shit. be a big boy dry your eyes put your cultivation pants on and get to fucking work. in other words lighten up and learn to take advice when givin to you. cuz if that answer hurt your feelings that much you dont belong on here or belong messing with psychoactive substances for that matter in the first place.

I think what jcm4620 is trying to say is, this is a place where science is performed, reviewed, discussed, reproduced and refuted. You can be as friendly as you like, but it's not necessary or expected. No one is here to hurt your feelings or to prop them up. Gotta check your ego, it's about the science.

judging by the fact that your account is less than a year old and has already amassed nearly 2,000 posts.. you're a bit of a no life, internet dweller with little to no actual human contact so I'll let it slide. Don't let that hurt your feelings though, powder puff.

^ lmfao. the classic snowflake "reversal"

"you must be the real triggered one because you pointed out that I am triggered"

someone just hit me in the face with a shovel before I have to read another reply like this, this people think theyre going to be gently handled in the real world or forums like this, the way theyre handled by tumblr and facebook.

the same newbie accounts that say shit like "well who can say that spraying my cakes with ink filled camel piss made via a decoCtion of shredded quran pages is a bad idea??, has it been PROVEN!??!?!" or, "show me why I have to chuck contaminated jars??? Someone on reddit told me I can just spray them with bleach and its like a Harry Potter potion that just whisks away all the harmful shit"

this community clusterfuck of dumb seen across all hobbies and communities requiring some functional brain matter is a direct result of stupid people being told they are equal to intelligent people (cause their feelings) and inadequate inferior people being told they are equal to and that their inferior, lacking opinion is equal to the educated take of an experienced and educated individual. this cult of equality and opinion, intersecting with communications technology like cell phones and the internet, has been an unmitigated disaster that has been the direct cause of numerous anti-science, anti-statistic retard cults running the gamut from flat earth to black lives matter

end rant.
