Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

This past week, I lifted something very heavy. I was fine for a few hours after that lift, but when I went to lay down that night, my whole body froze in pain because my left shoulder suddenly decided to proclaim the abuse from hours before. WTF???
In exchange for wrinkles, greying hair, and limbs that don't perform as before, I get life experience and knowledge. It's probably more than a fair exchange, but I still wish I knew then what I know now.
What's really cool is that I hear as you get older, even older than I am now, the learning process accelerates exponentially.
That's why, when I talk to younger people, I tell them to be patient. Sure, it would be great to know at 21 all the things we will know when we are 60, but it's part of the learning and growing cycle.
Another question to ask: Are you content, but always striving to be better, not because others are expecting it of you, but because you are expecting it of yourself? Are you using your gifts to their greatest potential?
