Rye bag questions

I started on March 16th. My bag came inoculated and ready to grow. I trusted the process was handled with sterile technique as this person has credibility. I am eager to see something. I am growing solely from the bag.
Please provide tips or advice

Did you buy this online or from someone you know? Im hoping you should be able to get a couple fruits off it but several things stick out immediately as alarming.
First, it appears as if the both grain and substrate were added to the bag at the same time before inoculation, essentially combining two separate steps into one. Although coir is contam resistant for the most part, youd prolly have better luck just throwing some damp casing layer on top of an already colonized bag.
Secondly, the fourth picture shows how uneven the growth of the bag is, which is normal at first, especially when innoculating from an injection port. However, this is why grain bags/jars are shaken to redistribute the mycelium and produce even colonization.
Thirdly, the mycelium in the fourth picture appears to have stalled, possibly because of some sort of contam, most likely bacterial. You can still fruit bacterial grain but without a shake to redistribute the myc, i doubt that last bit of grain will get colonized.
All in all, probably not a total loss, but i wouldnt buy one of these bags again.

it wont fruit until all the coir is colonized, so however long that takes?? maybe another 1-2 weeks?

Well looks like you got lucky and its fruiting. You can either cut the bag open and case/ put in some sort of FC or break up the bag and spawn to bulk. Obviously try and harvest those fruits first

No, I wish... this bag is my friends bag. She purchased a few weeks before I did and sheβs not sure what to do with it... also, when you say fruiting chamber, how would she transfer? Would she need to break all up and mold? Then lay more verm down? Thanks in advance for helping π€πΌπ

Yea so same options as described above. You can fruit it either by cutting the top off the bag and placing in an FC (whatever you wanna use, usually some sort of tote or tub). This may be the best option cuz the bag is already fruiting. You wouldnt necessarily need to recase or add anything on top unless you wanted to. Or the second option would be to break up the contents of the bag and mix with more bulk sub (coir/verm would be the easiest) inside some sort or tote/tub.
Theres numerous teks out there on spawning tubs/shoeboxes, but its literally like i described, no need to overthink. Just make sure everythings mixed thoroughly and level within the tub
