East Melbourne ID
    #26611974 - 04/19/20 02:45 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Hi guys, hoping for some ID help on these mushies all found within 50m of each other. I think there are multiple varieties and some nasties.

Location: eastern suburbs
Environment: grass lawn near eucalyptus trees

First two photos: white globe caps with a closed off veil, yellow stain on damage, white, solid, bulbous stem

Second two photos: flat white caps (mottled grey specks) with white gills and a distinctive ring on the stem where the veil has separated.

Last three photos: white large rounded caps with brown specks, tight brown gills, solid white heavy stem. Look remarkably like portobello mushrooms from the supermarket.

Sorry if I'm lacking some info for a clean ID, just interested to know what might be growing here.

Thanks all!

Agaricus species. Xanthodermus (Yellow stainers) are poisonous so do not consume. Though i hear arvensis also stains yellow.

It could be edible. However it depends on what species. Xanthodermus - yellow stainers are poisonous but from my understanding arvensis and maybe campestris also stain yellow, which are edible.

Hopefully someone knowledgable about agaricus steps in.
