UK woodland mushroom ID please (likely non-active)

Hello guys, hope you're doing alright.

Hasn't been raining much in the UK, so it's been quite hard to find any fungi really. Was delighted to find one today, an ID would be appreciated please.

Thank you

-----

Habitat: Wood, found growing on a fallen branch.

Gills: There are no gills, there appear to be small densely packed pores. The colour varies from very light brown to yellowy to ochre colour. Feels tough and spongy, some spines.

Stem: Stem appears to cream coloured (about 3mm diameter) and at the bottom it looks light brown and woody coloured (about 4-6mm diameter). It feels quite tough, and when squeezed some water comes out.

Cap: Cream coloured, convex cap with rolled edges with central funnel/depression, 4.5cm in diameter. Feels slightly grainy at the centre, and peripherally some parts are raised and brown (?scales). Tough and spongy cap. Non hygrophanous.

Spore print: printing as we speak.

Bruising: No color change was observed. Exudes a lot of fluid when compressed. Smells a bit weird (?mealy)

Location: South England, UK.

Spore print is white!

Thinking potentially Albatrellus or Polyporus species?
