Looks like African Americans were hit particularly hard: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/racial-toll-of-virus-grows-even-starker-as-more-data-emerges/ar-BB12OwtB?ocid=spartandhp
Whats interesting is that malaria has trouble infecting African people that have sickle cell: https://healthhearty.com/sickle-cell-malaria
Quote:
It is believed that sickle cell provides resistance against the malarial parasite.
Hydroxychloroquine is a drug treatment for malaria and shows some promise with COVID-19.
Perhaps theres some kind of connection between all these facts?

That probably is it. Having a vitamin D shortage greatly increases respiratory infections, and all black people should use a Vit D supplement year round in temperate climates.

Didn't say that at all. I said it's retarded to think that shortening hours helps. That distancing measures in a grocery store even matter at all. And have been arguing to open everything back up. Not that they should close. Don't try to pigeon hole what people say to make yourself happy

Social distancing is something us privileged people do to feel in control.
Microbes n shit dont stop at 5 feet 11 inches. Like damn near every customer I deal with doesnt even wear masks probably
It reminds me of noobs being 'sterile' in mushcult.

Microorganisms are all or nothing. That's why there's training and testing for PPE.
If being exposed to less inoculum helped then the distancing would help. But if you become inoculated the amount of inoculum does not matter. Every grocery store and liquor store are a free covid diagnosis once one infected person arrives

So reducing the amount of Coronavirus particles entering your body doesn't help at all? If even one virus particle enters a person's body, they are screwed and have the Coronavirus?

Still gets sunny in the winter, though it's not as intense. It's more that people don't usually get sun because they're covered up. I get out in the sun year round pretty much, down to about -10 C.

Actually there is a barrier to overcome. Very few micro-organisms (like Q Fever) will infect you when 1 single organism enters your body.
But given that sputum from COVID patients is so rife with virus (10,000x the concentration of SARS) one indeed very readily gets infected with it.

Reducing time in public places is the major way to reduce transmission. People should be limited to how many times they can go shopping. Once every five days would be good. It’s people like you that are dragging this out for longer than it should have been

But how would you control that? Have someone at the entrance of the grocery store looking at everybodies ID and recording it? Maybe use wristbands somehow? Seems like it would be hard to track that sort of restriction.

Divide the alphabet into five groups and your day is based on your last name
Cities like London and Athens have been doing that kind of thing with cars for a long time. First letter or number of your license plate.

Oh nice!

Do you think US States might do that? Seems pretty restricting (but a good idea).

I was at at Costco yesterday and there are definitely some food supply issues going on. They were almost out of poultry products and fresh fish.
