I dunno how decreasing store hours can be good for social distancing. Does it even make sense?

I could be wrong, but I think they lower store hours because they have less employee's and it also gives them more time to stock and clean the shelves at night. The trick to going grocery shopping now is to go early. They stock at night so if you get there first then you get the first shot at the hot ticket items.

The people who restock the shelves are not coming into contzct with customers shopping when a store is closed for longer hours or at least there is less of this contact happening.

Id say you're spot on. A lot of people are getting laid off, which could apply to grocery stores too. Short staffing is definitely the main reason for the modified hours.

In the mornings now there is always a line up out the door of people waiting for it to open, and they only let a certain amount of people in there at a time
I've been lucking out going towards the end of the day (around dinner time) on week days but I had no idea they close early.
Oh well I got enough food to live for a while I'll be alright

“LIBERATE VIRGINIA, and save your great 2nd Amendment. It is under siege!”
Those words were written this week not by the leader of a sovereign citizens militia, but by the leader — supposedly — of the free world.
On Friday, President Donald Trump tweeted out three such missives, calling on someone (Americans? Gun owners? Trump voters?) to “liberate” the already very free states of Michigan, Virginia and Minnesota.
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump LIBERATE VIRGINIA, and save your great 2nd Amendment. It is under siege!
Liberate them from what? Well, presumably from the strict public health measures enacted by governors concerned about the spread of the coronavirus. (Currently, there are around 30,000 confirmed cases in Michigan, and 2,000 people have died.)

Absolutely. Cram more people into a smaller window of opportunity. So that you can sanitize the store after hundreds if not thousands of people mingled

Our grocery stores are practically empty these days and 90% of people inside wear mask. Most people get stuff delivered since it is free right now.
This dude was really trying to argue that we need to reopen everything cuz otherwise children might go hungry or starve and he is sitting here saying it doesnt make sense for storea that sell food to be open

I have seen enough evidence that Chloroquine is not particularly effective at curbing active Coronavirus and I consider it too heavy a med to use for prevention.
I have un-stashed Chloroquine.

I have a lot of tomato plants started as well as some other stuff. Planning to can a bunch when they are done. I recently purchased a pressure cooker for this and other possible projects. Vitamin D I get from the sun.
