Found my first ovoids today!! I'm so damn pumped. Not a big patch of mature fruits but mycelium and pins were all over. I've read the official ovoid dosage thread and I have 18g of fresh. Silly question, but should I eat all of that? Looking for a level 2-3. Also, should I cut the base of the stipe before I e at them?

Nice voids. Rid them of that dirt and do with them as you like. Keep in mind, as a rough estimate, 90% of fresh mushies are h20.

Nice find bro. Welcome to the club. My personal opinion is that you should save them until you find more. 18g wet isn't as much as our imagination would like to believe. At the same time. Enjoy that first find no matter how strong it may or may not be.

I don't know why the picture was put right in the middle of my post like that. That was my first picture that I've posted, I'll figure it out. But I'm almost 100% positive that's what they are. They all have bluing. I also downloaded a mushroom identifier, and it said they were ovoids. I've eaten mushrooms many times, but never hunted any. And have never eaten any fresh psilocybes. Should I just eat the whole lot? Thanks for any input.

If you want to stand any chance of them working you will need the whole lot. 18 grams fresh is probably about .75 dried.

Thanks for everything. We're getting rain here all night so I'm gonna head back sunday. Been a long 7 weeks! A lot of good finds though. I have pearl oysters and lions mane too. One of the best Hobbies I've ever taken up. Love from Kentucky

Fresh are always better to me then dried. Its enough for low level.
Remove stem bud, wash, dice add to cup hot water (180F). They are wild after all.
Nice find.

Great rain last night. Some snow came through also early on. Ground Temps stayed above 40 over the night. Hoping ill still see some pins today with the Temps getting up into the 50s. Even on the colder days the ground temps have stayed up reasonably enough. Wish me luck this weekend guys. Should see some serious pins starting.

We need to try to keep the weather talk to only chatter about the conditions leading up to a season and conditions related to fruiting. It's technically not allowed at all. Fortunately, they've let us walk a fine line on the subject ... so let's try to do our best not to cross it.

I'm sorry. I need to keep my trap shut more. I'm sure I skirt the lines to much and regardless of my intention its unacceptable. I appreciate the leniency and will be more mindful from this post forward.

So help me understand. I just went back and read the rules again because its been over a year. It would be easier to list what we can do in my opinion. I'm not sure what I can post other than finds and identifying features. No weather, no reporting none finds, no chatter about weather in any form, no asking for hunting partners, no stating locations or asking about any species and where it grows and nothing about habitat, its all covered somewhere else.
So help me understand a little more clearly what is acceptable as a post? Am I correct that we are to basically keep it to finds and comments on those finds mostly?
