Where do I start.
Ive always known I was different.
My thought process was always different than everyone elses.
Ive always had this thing where my mind fixates on certain things, Up until recently, I chalked it up to a number of things. It has been both a blessing and a curse.
Ive only recently put it all together that I think I have what people in the psyche community call "purely obsessional" OCD
It literally explains everything about me.
A blessing in that it makes me fixate on things that interest me, and motivates me to learn everything can about those things..
A curse in that its makes me fixate on some of the darker and more tormenting aspects of the world and life in general.
I started using psychedelics when I was in my late teens, often even low doses of mushrooms or other things, would make me feel very good, VERY CLEAR MINDED and EVENED OUT.
I know what most people would say about that, its just the drugs, making things seems more clear, than they are. Im not so sure about that anymore.
Now, there are many studies that have shown substances like psilocybin are actually beneficial to people with OCD.
It makes sense if you really think about it. From what I have learned, physically, psilocybin makes blood flow more evenly throughout the brain.
Id imagine someone who suffers from obsessional disorders has more blood flow to certain parts of the brain, and maybe the psilocybin evens that out?
Either way, ive found when I dose once a month, even sparingly, my anxiety and depression pretty much disappears..
Fungus wows me more every day.
“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent, but if we can come to terms with this indifference, then our existence as a species can have genuine meaning. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” ― Stanley Kubrick

I don't know about blood flow, but it might have more to do with psilocybin inhibiting the "default state" of the brain, this brain area that keeps the mind running in the default manner I guess. That's just something I remember off the top of my head though.

What kind of dose do you take once a month for these benefits?

small, like less 2g of cubensis, not even enough to actually trip.
I wake up the next morning with a refreshed understanding and appreciation of life.
When I have shared this with people, for many years I have been chastised.
But now I really think there might be some truth to it.
